Townsend Debate Call out in WSLR 116 from 5:30-6:30. Learn more about the debate. Debate entry form is due to Natalie Federer in AGAD 222 by September 25 or you can turn it in at the first workshop that evening.

September 25, 2007
First workshop is designed to assist debate participants in preparing for the debate. This workshop is titled "What is an argument and conducting research." This workshop will cover argumentation, how to frame an argument and how to conduct research to support your argument. We will also be going over the debate rules. The team or a team member should plan on attending all workshops. This workshop will take place in WSLR 116 from 5:30-6:30.

October 16, 2007
Second workshop is titled "Taking a closer look at the affirmative and the negative." This workshop is designed to assist students with understanding each team members roles during the debate, the debate structure and how judging will conducted. This workshop will take place in WSLR 116 from 5:30-6:30.

October 30, 2007
Last meeting before the debate and it is very important that all teams attend. Brackets will be drawn and teams will learn who they are debating, location and time. Any last minute questions and concerns will be addressed. There will also be a showing of last year's debate for those who want to stay and watch. This workshop will take place in WSLR 116 from 5:30-6:30.
